Grateful For You!!! Great Leaf Technique too...

Good Evening All! I can't believe it is Thursday already! (and it's almost over too!) Where did this week go? I was in the mood for some fall leaves today. Since we have absolutely none left on our little it bitty maple trees outside, I had to make my own! lol.

I used Nature's Vein stamp set from Close to My Heart. I started off by inking my base image in Autumn Terracotta and then rolled the edges in Barn Red. Once you stamp the image, you will see that the stamp rolling technique gives great color and dimension to your image. I then stamped the vein image in Barn Red and lined it up on the first image (super easy to do with clear stamps!) Next, cut out your leaf and crumpled it all up as if I were going to throw it away, but don't throw it away, uncrumple it! lol! Next you take a sponge dauber loaded with Barn Red ink and sponge the edges and the crinkled ridges on your leaf. That's it your done and have one very realistic leaf sitting in front of you to do with as you please! Here's how mine turned out...

Here's a different angle trying to show the dimension a little better...Not so sure it does though!

Everything on this one is Close to My Heart except the ribbon & button.
Ink: Autumn Terracotta, Honey, Barn Red, Black, Garden Green
Stamps: Nature's Vein, Annotations, Say it in Style
Cardstock: Outdoor Denim, Barn Red, Colonial White
Copper Brads
Polka Dot Border is from Floral Tapestry My Stickease
Ribbon: Joann's
Leaf Button: Michael's

Scalloped Border Punch - SU
Distressed Stripes Embossing Folder - Cuttlebug

Thanks for stopping by!
